How should vacuum pumps be maintained? -EUREKA
How should vacuum pumps be maintained?
You need to disconnect it from the power supply and wait for it to cool down completely before performing maintenance, as the pump casing may heat up to 80°C and above during operation. The key points to be carried out when repairing the rotary vane vacuum pump with circulating lubrication are:
1. Check the oil.
2. Change oil.
3. Drain oil.
4. Clean the filter.
oil check
Use only clean oil and check the oil regularly for contamination.
Check the oil level: The oil level should be at 2/3 of the indicator. Add or drain excess oil if necessary.
Check oil quality: Check oil quality regularly. If the color changes, it should be replaced.
Change engine oil
The engine oil needs to be changed if:
1. It is contaminated by foreign impurities.
2. Over time, pump performance will deteriorate.
3. After purchasing the pump, the pump can run for the first 100 hours.
4. The pump can operate for 2000 hours using one type of oil.
Notice:
·The pumping medium must not react chemically with the pump oil. Do not drain the oil from the pump until the oil has cooled!
·Oil recommended by the manufacturer should be used.
·The manufacturer guarantees that the pump will produce the stated characteristics only when using recommended oils.
Drain
1. Remove the screw from the oil drain hole (see picture below) and leave it for a while until the oil stops draining.
2. Then tighten the screws in place and turn on the pump for 10 seconds. This is necessary in order for the oil to flow from the pump into the oil container (see picture below).
3. Remove the oil drain screw again and drain the remaining oil.
4. Check the O-ring on the screw for damage, replace if necessary, and then screw the screw back into place.
Notice:
· Only drain the oil after disconnecting the pump from the power supply!
Clean filter
When the pump is running, foreign matter may enter the filter at the suction inlet, resulting in reduced pump performance. Clean the suction filter regularly.
